The
Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) candidates in Port
Harcourt, River State Capital, were reported to have staged a protest on
Thursday.
Daily Post reported that the cause of the protest was the continued postponement of the collection of their e-slips and the postponement of an examination date that was originally fixed for February 21st to March 2nd.
The infuriated candidates faulted JAMB for calling on the police, who fired teargas canisters at them on Monday in order to disperse the crowd from the JAMB board.
